6 Cyber Crooks in Anti-Virus Net of Rajasthan Police
DEEG: On 13th September 2024, the Rajasthan Police, Deeg District, conducted a significant operation against cybercrimes. Six individuals were arrested in the Dausa area. During the operation, 11 mobile phones, multiple SIM cards, and one ATM card were seized. These criminals were engaged in fraudulent activities using mobile phones.
Modus Operandi
The accused individuals operated by calling people and misleading them into revealing sensitive information. The fraudsters used mobile phones and SIM cards to impersonate legitimate businesses or authorities. They then requested personal data and financial details, which were used to commit fraud. Their operations involved using online and offline modes to siphon money from unsuspecting victims under various pretexts, including help and services through fake social media profiles.

Arrest & Seizure
The Rajasthan Police arrested six individuals from different locations in the Dausa area. The arrested individuals were Sajjan, Arvind, Mohan Lal, Dharmendra, Ajit, and Kuldeep. During the search operation, the police seized 11 mobile phones, SIM cards, and ATM cards. The police initiated investigations into these seized items and registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.
