Col. Inderjeet Singh, a pioneering figure in cybersecurity and blockchain security, passed away on September 27, 2024, after falling unconscious during a lecture.
Known for his groundbreaking contributions to the cybersecurity industry, Colonel Singh was a visionary leader, mentor, and innovator whose work spanned over three decades of service in both the defense sector and the tech industry.
An Architect of Cyber Defense and Blockchain Innovation
Col. Singh served as the Chief Cyber Officer at CyberSleuths. With 34 years of experience in cybersecurity operations and policy formulation, he helped organizations safeguard their data and networks from ever-evolving digital risks. He was a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) who excelled in various domains, including Cyber Defense Centres, Threat Intelligence, OT Security, and Digital Forensics.
In addition to his work at CyberSleuths, Col. Singh was the Director General of the Cyber Security Association of India, where he played a pivotal role in shaping India’s cybersecurity landscape. His leadership in creating robust national frameworks for cyber resilience ensured the safety of both individuals and organizations across the country.
Col. Inderjeet Singh also participated in various awareness events and workshops organized by The Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF), contributing his expertise to promote cybersecurity education and resilience across diverse audiences.

Colonel Singh’s legacy also extends into the realms of blockchain and Web 3.0 technologies. As a co-founder of the India Blockchain Forum (IBF), he was instrumental in driving innovation and growth in blockchain security. Colonel Inderjeet Singh began his illustrious career serving in the Indian Defense Forces, where he held prestigious positions in cybersecurity, risk management, and cyber warfare.
He was also an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune, further honing his technical and leadership expertise. During his military service, he participated in the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo and later became the CIO of an eCommerce company, showing his versatility and ability to lead across sectors.
