CONSEE: India’s First Consent Management Platform Under DPDP Rule 2025 by Future Crime Research Foundation

India, January 2025 – A state-of-the-art Consent Management System (CMS) has been unveiled through a strategic partnership between the Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) and Armantec Systems Private Limited. This pioneering solution is designed to support Consent Managers, Intermediaries, and Data Protection Officers (DPOs) in registering with the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI). The platform is fully aligned with India’s newly enacted Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and the latest draft regulations issued by the government in January 2025. It is set to be officially launched at the FutureCrime Summit 2025, scheduled for February 13-14 at Dr. Ambedkar International Center, Janpath Road, New Delhi.
Despite the ongoing evolution of DPDP regulations, cloud-based CMS deployment began in 2023 following the act’s passage. The latest updates incorporate the most recent rules, with further enhancements planned as regulatory clarifications emerge.
Addressing Legal and Operational Challenges
Given the legal and procedural uncertainties surrounding compliance, the CMS is designed with adaptable solutions. For instance, while parental consent is required for minors, no standardized mechanism currently exists to verify the relationship between a child and their guardian. To mitigate this, the CMS allows users to upload documentary evidence, which can be reviewed by Consent Managers or third-party verification agencies.
