Lucknow – The Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) is calling upon individuals, organizations, and institutions to join its groundbreaking initiative, ‘Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh,’ designed to combat the growing threat of cybercrime across the state. Building on the successful framework of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) ‘Cyber Surakshit Bharat’ initiative, FCRF aims to extend its reach to every corner of Uttar Pradesh, engaging schools, corporate entities, NGOs, and the wider community in a collective effort to enhance cybersecurity.

The ‘Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh’ initiative offers a unique opportunity for collaboration in safeguarding the state’s digital infrastructure and ensuring the security of its citizens. FCRF’s approach involves a multi-faceted strategy that includes public awareness campaigns, capacity building, cyber hygiene education, and community engagement, all tailored to meet the specific needs of Uttar Pradesh’s diverse population.

Key Components of Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh:

1. Public Awareness: FCRF will lead extensive awareness campaigns targeting various groups, including government employees, corporate entities, and NGOs. These campaigns will educate the public on the latest cyber threats and the best practices for protection, using digital, print, and social media platforms.

2. Capacity Building: A range of training programs, workshops, and seminars will be offered to equip Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), government employees, and police personnel with the skills needed to counter cyber threats effectively. FCRF’s history of conducting hundreds of capacity-building and awareness courses positions it as a leader in this field.

3. Cyber Hygiene in Schools: Recognizing the importance of early education, FCRF will implement cyber hygiene campaigns across schools in Uttar Pradesh. These campaigns will be rolled out in phases, covering the state’s extensive administrative divisions, including 18 divisions, 75 districts, and 97,941 villages.

4. Community Engagement: Collaborating with government agencies, police, corporate entities, and NGOs, FCRF will organize activities such as walkathons, slogan contests, and street plays in all 75 districts and commissionerates of Uttar Pradesh, fostering a community-wide effort against cybercrime.

5. Hackathons and Cyber Drills: The initiative will host hackathons and cyber drills, encouraging innovation and preparedness by inviting participants to develop solutions to cybersecurity challenges and test their responses to simulated cyber-attacks.

6. Proactive Advisories: Regular advisories and alerts will be issued through various media channels, keeping the public informed about emerging cyber threats and protective measures.

7. Partnerships with Academia and Industry: FCRF is actively seeking partnerships with academic institutions, corporate entities, NGOs, and government departments to expand the impact of the ‘Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh’ initiative and create a resilient cybersecurity ecosystem across the state.

FCRF invites all interested parties to become partners in this vital initiative. Whether you represent a school, corporate entity, NGO, or simply wish to contribute as an individual, your involvement can make a significant difference in the fight against cybercrime.
