Cyber Singham Now Reaches Darjeeling

MUMBAI: After the huge success of ‘Cyber Singham’ – real-life cybercrime stories, the maker of the web series has started shooting for the second season in Darjeeling.

The web series is inspired by Prof Triveni Singh’s life, who is superintendent of the police, cybercrime, Uttar Pradesh Police. Prof Singh is the man behind cracking the most technical cyber crime cases in India. In the first season, each episode was dedicated to highly technical cybercrime cases. This is one-of-its-kind series as it not only captures thrilling crime stories but also gives deep insight into the technical aspect of the investigation that cyber police do in cracking such cases.

Season 2 of Cyber ​​​​Singham is being shot by Varchaswa Media Private Limited in the north-eastern part of India. The web series will be released on the Apex Prime OTT platform. Popular actor Kapil Soni, who played the lead role in the Star Plus serial Nazar, is playing the role of Professor Triveni Singh. Among the other key actors, Vikrant Dubey from Uttar Pradesh district Auraiya will be seen in a new look as Inspector Purshottam Batla.

This time the story of the web series focuses on women trafficking through social media platforms. How cybercriminals are creating fake profiles on Facebook and social media to trap innocent girls and further sell them.

 In the show, Cyber Singham aka Prof Triveni Singh along with his team Inspector Akhil and Purshottam Batla from UP will investigate in West Bengal where they find two West Bengal officers, Sub Inspector Kinkshuk and Inspector Pema Bhutia, and how the five together save the girls from the clutch of human traffickers.

Director Karthik Singh told that in season 2, we started the shoot in the Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Siliguri districts of West Bengal. Shooting in the location will make the web series more scenic. Co-director Yash Baba told the season 2 is dedicated to all the youth of the country especially students. It is an important series that shows the negative side of social media.

Vikrant Dubey has already done short films apart from Crime Alert, Hindi and Bhojpuri songs. From Mumbai, DOP Ajay Ghadge, Aloe Ali, Channel Director Anand Mohan Sharma, Somita Das, Ramakant, Paras Madan, Art Director Anil, Makeup Artist Rajesh, Lightmen Ambareesh, Arvind, Sunil, Anuwar Ali etc are included in the shooting team.

Prof. Triveni Singh has been honoured by the President of India with the Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG). He is better known as India’s CyberCop for his work as a Cyber Crime Investigation Specialist. He has worked with nearly every sort of cybercriminal and has examined over 200 types of cybercrime, leading to the arrest of thousands of criminals through a rigorous technical investigation procedure. He is well-known for his knowledge of financial and banking frauds. He also serves as a resource for a number of government departments and judicial authorities.
Singh serves as a resource person for a variety of organisations, including the CBI, NPA, ICAI, NCRB, State Judicial Academies, and others, and is a frequent keynote speaker at national and international conferences.
