‘Cyber Yodha’ Declares War On Cyber Criminals!

At a time when we desperately need something to help us secure our data and save us from being robbed online, there’s finally something to help us fight the cyber crimes.

Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in Telangana has launched ‘Cyber Yoddha’ a programme which aims at creating awareness and empowering the citizens against cyber crimes. 

The programme has been launched in collaboration with Rachakonda Security Council and End Now Foundation. Its primary target is to create awareness on digital safety, reducing cybercrime, digital de-addiction support, among others.

“This is first time we are launching this programme inTelangana,where specialist teams will train volunteers-collegestudents, citizens, employees and others as part ofpreparedness in preventing cyber crimes and to ensure thatinnocent citizens will not be victimised by cyber fraudsters,”Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh M Bhagwat said.

Those participating in the programme will be awarded with an internship certificate, medal and will be branded as an ‘Ambassador for cyber safety’.

The programme was launched, keeping in view the risingnumber of cyber crimes in the Commissionerate limits, informed Mr Bhagwat.

 A total of 704 cybercrime cases were reported in 2020, up from 334 in 2019, he said.
