LUCKNOW: To unravel the complexities and crucial facets of data protection and privacy laws, the Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) in collaboration with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) is gearing up to host an insightful webinar titled “Data Protection & Privacy.”

The webinar’s agenda spans critical areas, commencing with an exploration of the DPDP Act 2023 and its imminent regulatory impact.
Subsequently, a comparative analysis between the widely recognized GDPR and the indigenous DPDP Act 2023 will be undertaken, aiming to draw parallels and distinctions.

Eminent speakers contributing their wealth of knowledge include Dr. Karnika Seth, a distinguished cyberlawyer, arbitrator, author, and advisor, known for her extensive expertise in cyber, IP, and media law. With over two decades of practice in the Supreme Court of India, Dr. Seth’s contributions have been pivotal in shaping cyber laws both domestically and internationally. Her involvement with the Ministry of IT and Defence Ministry of the Government of India, alongside her role as the Country Chair for AI and Cybersecurity for G 100, a global women thought leaders group, further underscores her influence and expertise in this realm.
Joining Dr. Seth is Rahul Sharma, a seasoned professional with a diverse background in cybersecurity, policy consulting, technology laws, and data privacy advisory. With rich experience in leading functions related to policy, privacy, and standards at prominent organizations like DSCI (Data Security Council of India – NASSCOM initiative) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Sharma brings a wealth of knowledge and insights to the webinar.
