The Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) is proud to announce that Dr. Rakshit Tandon, a name synonymous with cybersecurity and digital safety, has joined the organization as the Director of Training.

In this key role, Dr. Tandon will spearhead all training initiatives, workshops, and awareness programs, with a strong focus on empowering stakeholders through capacity building, cyber training, and fostering cyber hygiene.

For those familiar with the field of cybersecurity, Dr. Tandon needs no introduction. With over two decades of hands-on experience, he is a trusted voice in cyber forensics, ethical hacking, and cybersecurity education. As a Cyber Security Evangelist and National Cyber Security Expert, he has dedicated his career to making cyberspace safer for everyone—from children to large institutions.

A Mission to Protect the Next Generation

One of the hallmarks of Dr. Tandon’s career is his unwavering commitment to protecting children online. In a world where young people are increasingly vulnerable to online threats, Dr. Tandon has taken it upon himself to raise awareness among the 10 to 18 age group, promoting responsible digital behavior and cyber hygiene. His mission has touched the lives of over 7 million young people across India, through school programs, workshops, and educational sessions.

“We can’t just protect our kids from the internet, but we can arm them with the right knowledge to stay safe,” says Dr. Tandon.

Trusted Advisor to Law Enforcement

Dr. Tandon’s expertise is not limited to educational programs. He is a key resource for the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, where he trains law enforcement officers to investigate cybercrimes. His work with BPRD has had a significant impact on how law enforcement tackles cyber threats, giving officers the tools and knowledge they need to handle complex cybercrime cases.

In his current role as a consultant with the Haryana Police Department’s CID, Dr. Tandon works closely with investigators to not only train them but also assist in active cybercrime investigations. His ability to demystify complicated cyber issues and break them down into actionable strategies has made him a vital asset to multiple state police departments across India. Many of these departments have leaned on his expertise to establish and run their cyber cells.
