Telangana CM Reddy’s New Rule: Watch Jr NTR and Chiranjeevi Tackle Cybercrime Before Your Movie
Telangana requires filmmakers to create cybercrime and anti-narcotics awareness videos with stars like Jr NTR and Chiranjeevi to qualify for ticket price hikes and privileges.

Telugu cinema fans in Telangana can expect to see a social message alongside their entertainment fix, with the state government’s new order. Filmmakers seeking permission to raise ticket prices or conduct film shoots within Telangana will now need to submit a public service announcement (PSA) video featuring the film’s stars. These PSAs must focus on raising awareness about cybercrime and anti-narcotics initiatives.
Joining Forces for Social Good
The initiative has already garnered participation from some of Tollywood’s biggest names. Prominent actors like Chiranjeevi have already been featured in public service announcements created in collaboration with the Telangana State Police and Hyderabad City Police. Interestingly, Jr NTR’s PSA appears to be a previously released one, highlighting the ongoing fight against cybercrime and drug abuse.
