3. Mumbai Scam: Fraudsters Dupe Elderly Woman of Rs 1.5 Crore
A 78-year-old South Mumbai woman lost Rs 1.5 crore to fraudsters posing as Delhi Police officials. The scammers accused her of money laundering and drug offences, using fake documents and video calls in police uniforms to gain trust. They coerced her into transferring funds, citing asset “safeguarding” needs.
4. Interstate Cyber Fraud Gang Busted in Nirsa’s Pithakiyari Village, Jharkhand
Three cybercriminals were arrested in a raid at Pithakiyari village, Nirsa, for defrauding bank account holders in Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Led by Cyber DSP and SDPO, police seized 10 phones, 16 SIM cards, and directories. The mastermind behind the gang remains at large.

5. Two Cyber Criminals Arrested in Jarmundi’s Kharba Village, Sent to Jail
Jarmundi police arrested two cybercriminals from Kharba village during a raid led by an SIT formed to curb cybercrime. Two accused, were caught red-handed committing cyber fraud. Using the Pratibimb app, police tracked their operations and sent them to judicial custody.
