1. Women in Cinema Collective Condemns Cyber Attackers
The Women in Cinema Collective condemned a cyber attack on women who spoke out against sexual assault in the Malayalam film industry. Actor Nivin Pauly, accused of rape, seeks to quash the case, but the complainant maintains her allegations. Five others, including a recruiter and a producer, are also accused.
2. Retired Officer Defrauded of Rs 78 Lakh in Insurance Scam
A retired Gujarat government officer, Rajnikant Patel, lost Rs 78.28 lakh in a cyber fraud scam after being tricked by fraudsters posing as insurance executives. The scammers requested processing fees for a fake insurance payout, but when Patel attempted to recover the money, they disappeared. A police investigation has been launched.

3. Guwahati Cyber Police Arrest Four in Bank Fraud Scheme
Guwahati Cyber Police arrested four suspects in a bank fraud scheme targeting people in financial distress. The scammers used “mule accounts” for illegal activities, leaving account holders liable. Police recovered checkbooks, foreign currency, phones, and other evidence. Over Rs 35 crore has been stolen by cybercriminals in Guwahati.
4. Kerala Doctor Duped in Rs 4.08 Crore Online Scam Over 8 Months
A doctor from Kerala lost Rs 4.08 crore over eight months to a scammer who manipulated his sympathy with fabricated stories of personal crises. The scammer, Amit, created a network of false personas to extort money from the doctor. A complaint was filed with the Cyber Crime Police.
5. Woman Inspector Requests DGP Investigation into Alleged Rs 100 Crore Cyber Fraud
A Punjab woman inspector requested a probe into a Rs 100 crore cyber fraud case. Inspector Amanjot Kaur, accused of demanding a bribe, claims she was framed by a nexus of police and politicians.
