Meet The Dynamic Women Changing The Face Of Indian Cyberspace

We live in a world of cyber frauds – a world where people get conned over a phone call; sometimes even a text message, or a pop-up email. This is a world that is in dire need of cybersecurity. But this is also a world where cybersecurity or technology, in general, has a perception problem – a perception of cyber being a man’s world. But women in technology are not just writing algorithms in a cubicle. From keeping the internet from shutting down to building safe information infrastructure, nabbing criminals on ground and making cyber policies more solid in a bid to keep citizens safe – women in cyber security are few but true to their crafts.

This International Women’s Day, The420.in along with Noida-based NGO Root64 Infosec Research Foundation conducted a pan-India online survey to acknowledge the efforts of women who have made a difference in the online world and made the digital world safer. These women have broken the dreadful glass-ceilings of the perception of cybersecurity being a man’s job.
