Instagram has come under fire following a controversial video posted on its platform that featured a mother and her son participating in the so-called ‘Kiss Challenge’. This incident, that occurred in South Dinajpur, West Bengal, has led to a lawsuit filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology (IT) Act. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken action against the social media giant after the video went viral, raising serious concerns about the safety and privacy of minors online.
