CBI Registers Case Against Indore Man for Sexual Abuse and Blackmail of Minor

NEW DELHI: As part of its zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and other offences, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) takes exemplary action against its officials. The premier agency has arrested its four sub-inspectors and conducts searches at their premises. All four corrupt officers were dismissed from service.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four Sub-Inspectors stationed in Delhi on various charges and searched their homes. Documents found incriminating during searches are being examined.

Based on a complaint, the CBI has opened an investigation into its Sub-Inspector in New Delhi and unknown officials/private individuals.

The complainant, who runs a partnership firm in Chandigarh, claimed that on May 10, six people, including CBI investigators, entered his office and threatened him with arrest for supporting and sending money to terrorists since they had information about it.

It was further claimed that the accused dragged the complainant into a car and demanded Rs.25 lakh from him.

As part of its zero-tolerance stance regarding corruption and other offences, not just against those from outside but also against its officers, the CBI swiftly registered a case, located three other officials allegedly implicated in the incident, and arrested them.

Taking severe note of these delinquent officials’ actions, dismissed all four of them from duty.

The apprehended suspects are being brought before the Competent Court in Chandigarh on Thursday.
