Vinayak Godse Announced As New CEO Of Data Security Council of India

NEW DELHI: NASSCOM-established leading industry body Data Security Council of India (DSCI) appointed senior vice president Vinayak Godse to the position of CEO.

Godse will take over the charge from Rama Vedashree, who has led DSCI for the past six years.

“After having had an opportunity to lead DSCI in the last six plus years, it’s now time for me to handover the baton to one of my colleagues, Vinayak Godse, Sr. Vice President. Vinayak will be taking over the role from me as the CEO of DSCI from 1. October 2022,” reads a letter by Rama Vedashree.

A selection committee of the DSCI Board led by previous DSCI chairman Dr N Balakrishnan, current chairman Rajendra S Pawar, NASSCOM President, and other board members made the choice.

Godse has been with DSCI since its founding and has over 27 years of expertise in information security, IT transformation, intelligent networking, and telecommunications infrastructure. During his 14-year stint at DSCI, he was in charge of the National Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity Technology and Entrepreneurship, a joint venture of DSCI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Prior to DSCI, he worked with the Global Consulting Practice of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Information Risk Management and also worked as a Telecom Engineer at Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited. He started his career as a lecturer in Electronics Engineering.
