New Delhi: Google has removed over 30 malware-infected apps from its Play Store between July and September. These apps were infected with Joker malware. So if you still have these apps installed on your phone then you must delete it now.
The Joker malware also called Bread, steals money and information from users by subscribing them to the unwanted premium paid subscriptions without their knowledge. It first simulates interaction with ads without user’s knowledge and intercepts SMS to subscribe to unwanted paid services including OTP (One Time Password) to initiate payments.
You should immediately uninstall these malware-infected apps if any of these apps are installed in your Android phone said Cybersecurity Expert, Nitin Pandey.
