LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS), affiliated with the National Forensic Science University in Ahmedabad, has announced the opening of applications for multiple positions within the institute. The positions range across various academic and administrative roles, reflecting the diverse needs and ambitions of this rapidly expanding forensic hub.

UP State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS) is looking for individuals who have demonstrated expertise in fields critical to the institute’s focus on forensic science, including specializations within forensic science, legal studies, and a technical acumen in computer science.

Dr GK Goswami, IPS, Serves as The Founder Director of the Institute

UPSIFS, which has established itself as a hub of learning and research under the dynamic leadership of Dr. G.K. Goswami, the institute’s Founder Director. Dr. Goswami, a 1997 Batch IPS officer of the U.P. Cadre, has an array of qualifications such as M.Sc., LL.M., and dual Ph.D.s in Medicinal Chemistry and Law. His achievements include the prestigious Fulbright fellowship, and he has been decorated with the Police Medal for Gallantry (Highest national award for Police Forces) three times.

Inauguration by Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

In a noteworthy inauguration event held on the 1st of August, 2021, the institute was launched by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and was graced by the presence of  Yogi Adityanath, a testament to the high regard in which the institute is held at the highest levels of governance.

UPSIFS Launches a Recruitment Drive

Five-year Flagship BSc LLB (Forensic Science) degree program

UPSIFS has been gearing up to introduce an integrated five-year BSc LLB (Forensic Science) degree program. This program is designed to provide an interdisciplinary education bridging the gap between forensic science and legal studies. It also runs a PG Diploma in Cyber Security and a PG Diploma in DNA Forensics.
